Observing children and watching them develop and grow is one of the chief pleasures in life. A recent NYTimes article (March 3, 2009) tells us "In a Helpless Baby, the Roots of Our Social Glue" the author tells us that "Anthropologists have made the startling discovery that . . . among traditional cultures without television or Internet access, a baby is the best show in town." Learning to sit back and observe each child as they grow and develop does more than anything to help us understand, enjoy, and help our children.
