Montessori education for ages 6-12 is centered around the five "great lessons": the creation of the solar system and earth, the evolution of plants and animals, the coming of humans and development of cultures and languages, and the development of math/science. Everything overlaps. Many of the basic materials are made during Montessori teacher training. In the home or in regular classrooms we advise a minimum of requirements and to follow the child's interested and passions. Subjects studied from choice will be remembered throughout life.
