Just as with any other creative endeavor it is best if the emphasis is on the process rather than the product. With the Budda board the child draws with water and the design shows as a dark line wherever the water touches. Then, as the water dries, the drawing disappears and the board is clear! It is as much fun to watch the drawing disappear as to see it appear and one can draw for hours and use no paper at all .
The 9.5" x 12" Buddha Board drawing surface is fixed into the 4.5" x 6" water and brush container. The child dips the Japanese sumi brush (softened by soaking before the first use) into the black box and paints.
